ORIGIN
A protected geographical indication, produced only in Dijon and following an extremely precise and rigorous manufacturing process. Its taste and flavour make Burgundy famous throughout the world.
ELABORATION
We make a very concentrated maceration of blackcurrant and raspberry berries in distilled alcohol. We then add sugar, which is dissolved cold directly into the alcoholic infusion. The perfect balance of taste is the expertise of the Boudier House, obtained by a severe selection of the fruits, from a selection of the noblest, with in particular the variety “Noir de Bourgogne (Black Burgundy)”, the most aromatic in the world and other varieties in accordance with the CDC cassis de Dijon. This rigor is completed by an absolute mastery of dosages and by the high quality of the sugar used.
TASTING
Crme de Cassis de Dijon has a magnificent deep purple color. This intensity is due to the use of the maximum quantity of blackcurrants that can be macerated. The purity of the blackcurrant in all its power and freshness can be found on the palate. The finish is straightforward and straightforward, allowing it to be enjoyed without altering the food or wine served during a lunch or dinner with friends.
USAGE
Particularly appreciated as an aperitif, Cassis liquor of Dijon goes well with a Crmant de Bourgogne or a Bourgogne Aligot, but can also be used in more elaborate cocktails, notably with Gin. It goes well with our London dry Gin.
